About Mumbai Lads

About Mumbai Lads

Made for the lad between two worlds.

Mumbai Lads started with a feeling many British-Indian men know well: wanting to show up to weddings, family moments and big nights with pride — without feeling like the outfit belongs to someone else’s wardrobe.

We make men’s jutti and mojari-inspired slip-ons for the parts of life where culture shows up: the wedding weekend, the family house, the festival night, the dinner after the formal bit is done.

The idea

Heritage, but not held behind glass.

We grew up around South Asian weddings, loud family houses, polished shoes at the door and outfits that carried meaning. The footwear was always part of that memory.

But too often it felt uncomfortable, hard to style, or like something you wore once because the occasion demanded it. Mumbai Lads is our way of bringing that feeling forward: familiar shapes, cleaner lines, softer materials and a fit made for long days, late nights and repeat wear.

The Mumbai Lads point of view

Cultural footwear should feel proud, modern and easy to live in.

01

Soul in every sole.

Every pair starts with culture, memory and the small details that make an outfit feel personal.

02

Comfort matters.

Weddings are long. Receptions run late. Family photos take forever. Our shoes are made with comfort in mind from the start.

03

Made to repeat.

For sherwanis, kurtas and weddingwear — but also for tailoring, linen sets, jeans and the nights after wedding season ends.

Why Mumbai Lads

Rooted, warm, sharp, a little nostalgic.

Mumbai Lads is not trying to turn heritage into a costume. The aim is simpler: make South Asian footwear feel like something men can choose with confidence, not just wear because they are supposed to.

That is the personality of the brand — proud but easy-going, familiar but not stuck, made for real outfits and real people.

Soul in every sole

Footwear with meaning, made to be worn.

From sherwanis and kurtas to tailoring and jeans, Mumbai Lads is made for men who want heritage footwear that feels comfortable, modern and theirs.
